Huffington Post Article About Being a Foster
Want to make the world a better place in one easy step? Take home a foster pet from a local shelter or rescue group. Fostering means bringing in a cat or dog -- or parrot, or baby pig, or any other homeless pet -- with the goal of nurturing them for a while until they can be dispatched to a permanent home with a family who'll love them forever. Volunteer Spotlight for Outstanding Service as a Dog Foster
Happy Tails Dog Rescue extends a special thank you to Kate Britten for her outstanding volunteer service as a dog foster. Kate has been fostering Lamb, a recent MDAS rescue, and has done a fantastic job nursing him back to health. Lamb is happy, healthy, and ready for his forever home as a result of her time and love for him. Thank you Kate. Happy Tails commends you for your outstanding volunteer service! It is because of fosters like you that our rescue efforts are successful.
Omar Felix has been volunteering with Happy Tails Dog Rescue since the organization started in 2010. He is one of our valued dog fosters and has fostered over 10 of our rescued dogs. He does an outstanding job caring for and loving these neglected dogs during their transition to forever homes. In addition to fostering, Omar actively markets the dogs he fosters which helps increase the chances these dogs have of getting adopted. Volunteer dog fosters play a key role in the rescue process. Omar is an example of what it takes to be an outstanding foster parent. Happy Tails Dog Rescue extends special recognition to you Omar for all of your hard work and dedication to our cause!
